Parade has passed by a bitter, pathetic Jesse Jackson

Rev. Jesse Jackson proved once and for all Sunday that he is a mean-spirited, foul-mouthed human being. And in case you didn’t get it Sunday, he made it crystal clear by waiting until today to apologize to Barack Obama.

Like so many before him, Rev. Jackson was tripped up by an open mic. I’ve always thought those pesky little open mics reveal the real individual, the person behind the made-up on-camera mask and carefully rehearsed sound bites. If Jackson has been an Obama insider up till now, I’m guessing it was only because Obama wanted to show the senior black leader some respect. The toxic Jackson forfeited the last of that respect this week and should be booted as far as possible from the campaign.

Even Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. denounced his father’s “reckless statements.”

“His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career,” the younger Jackson said.

Rev. Jackson has shown he is a small, sad human being, jealous and resentful because the parade is passing him by. It’s the 21st Century, and he’s a relic of the 20th.

  1. Wow, that’s really strange, I was sure I made a comment on this. Yes, he is a jerk.

You probably did. I never figured out a good way to restore the comments that went with the posts I deleted/restored. Mea culpa.
