General Motors introduced the 2014 Corvette yesterday and yes, I’ll take one, please. Thank you very much. For no better reason than that they are made in the USA and were the first sports care I became aware of back in 1958, I’ve always wanted a Vette. This one will do nicely, thank you.

Oh that’s just so sweet PT! Can I have a ride in it when you get it (I won’t even dream of owning one myself)?!?!
Posted by IzaakMak | January 14, 2013, 8:16 am MDTDreaming is as close as I’ll ever get, I’m afraid. But if you’ll settle for an imaginary ride, you’re on. Grandma driving a Stingray, with a younger man riding shotgun … that’ll turn some heads!
Posted by PiedType | January 14, 2013, 8:22 am MDTNow that’s a fantasy I can get “down” with, particularly the part of being seen as the “younger man!”
Posted by IzaakMak | January 14, 2013, 8:35 am MDTNice body style (sometimes they aren’t) Just remember, minimalism with these: not room to lug a bunch of stuff – sounds perfect!
Posted by philosophermouseofthehedge | January 14, 2013, 4:18 pm MDTLugging stuff would be the least of my concerns when tooling around in one of these!
Posted by PiedType | January 14, 2013, 5:13 pm MDTNot really good for snow, though…but that coastal highway!
Posted by philosophermouseofthehedge | January 14, 2013, 6:06 pm MDTI’d pictured winding mountain highways (no experience with coastal highways). Even western Kansas would look good from behind the wheel of this car.
Posted by PiedType | January 14, 2013, 7:49 pm MDTThe GM CEO said they would unveil the best looking car in the world. Looks like he wasn’t gilding the lily. What a sweet machine.
Posted by Gabbygeezer | January 14, 2013, 4:36 pm MDTHaven’t taken a good look at the world’s great sports cars recently, but I see no need to look beyond this.
