Sweet Sistine finals close Monday night

Well, I blew it. Lost track of time and forgot to check for the Sweet Sistine update. Cardinal Marc Ouellet of Canada and Cardinal John Onaiyekan of Nigeria made it to the finals and the voting ends tonight (Monday). The winner will be announced tomorrow. I confess I’m surprised and pleased to see there are no Italians in the finals.

  1. Oh Jeez PT, I just looked and they’ve decided the winner already – before I got the chance to post my funny video and link back to these posts!

  2. Sorry for the short notice. The first time or two I looked for the finals, they hadn’t been posted. The next time I thought to look, the voting period was almost over. Those interested will find the winner here.

Ugh, ABC News just came on with a special, live from Rome, with a panel of 6 people talking about it. The cardinals aren’t even voting yet! They are in the Sistine Chapel singing. Is the special going to run for possibly days until a new pope is named? Ridiculous. And not to be outdone, CNN is running the same thing, as are the other “news” channels.
