There’s nothing I can say about NBC political analyst Tim Russert that isn’t being said right now by his colleagues across the country.
I just can’t imagine the world of political news without Tim Russert, who was only 58 years old when he suffered an apparent heart attack this afternoon in Washington. He was the moderator of “Meet the Press” for years, and his tough but fair questions and incisive commentary were instructive regardless of your political leanings.
It is the ultimate compliment to his reputation as a journalist that he is being lauded even on Fox. All the cable news networks have dropped their regular programming to reminisce about Russert’s life and contributions.
I’ll greatly miss Tim Russert and his zest for both politics and life in general.

You know, 30 – I was u tterly shocked by this. The man seemed relatively young and in good physical health. When I first saw it, I thought it was a bad joke. Though he was on the other end of the political spectrum – I always felt him to be fair and a damn good journalist – a dying breed. He will be missed.

My first thought was something along the lines of, “It couldn’t be the guy I’m thinking of.” But it was.
