Finally, some perspective

  1. I like what he said about how people’s favorite music/musician’s seem to be those that were popular while they were in high school. Very true. It always brings back memories for me. For me, I enjoyed Michael Jackson’s music when I was in Junior High- yes, I was that little dope with his picture glued all over my notebook cover 🙂 I loved him. I do not understand that memorial, nor did I tune in. I just feel really sad and wish like hell he wouldn’t have died. His talent will never be matched in my book and I just really really wish he was still here. GAH!
He was an extraordinarily gifted artist and I loved and admired his work. That said, I still don’t get the excessive and endless media coverage. Slow news summer. Cheap, easy programming. But the “news” sources pandered along with everyone else. I combined my News and Entertainment categories a long time ago because there is no longer any noteworthy difference.

Aside from all this, I hope you’re having a good summer. 🙂

  2. Wow, something I can agree with Bob on – who knew? 😉
The Jackson thing is universal! It transcends party affiliations! It soars over national boundaries! It’s a wonder some enterprising news network hasn’t reported on the grieving Martians and Venusians.

... and that's my two cents
