There’s been lots of talk the last few weeks about the US military presence in Afghanistan.
Frankly, I haven’t paid much attention. History tells us no outside power has succeeded in Afghanistan, and the past is prologue.
We went into Afghanistan for one reason — to get Bin Laden, the author of the 9/11 attacks. We failed; he got away. He’s not there anymore.
‘Nuff said. We have no further business in that country.
I have several friends that have sons over there right now.
I agree, wholeheartedly, let’s get them the hell out.
The entire region is the proverbial ‘asshole of the universe’.

Under the circumstances, it’s inexcusable and immoral to send our young men and women to fight, kill, and possibly die in Afghanistan.
