I just came across an interesting Political Spectrum Quiz on a website called “GoToQuiz.” Love this kind of stuff. I worked through the quiz once, rather quickly, and got the results below (“right moderate social libertarian,” whatever that is). I’m guessing a second run-through, with more thought given to some of the tougher “iffy” questions, might yield somewhat different results, since with each question you must indicate not only your answer, but how important that issue is to you.
One of the more interesting aspects of this quiz is the opportunity to compare one’s results to others. Comparisons can be filtered by age, gender, race, location, political affiliation, or any combination of these.
Naturally, with more than 200,000 test results in hand, GoToQuiz has generated some maps of the US to summarize the numbers.
My Political Views:
I am a right moderate social libertarian
Right: 3.96, Libertarian: 2.55
My Foreign Policy Views:
My Culture War Stance:
I’m surprised at my “Rightness.”
My Political Views I am a far-right social libertarian Right: 9.22, Libertarian: 8.74
My Foreign Policy Views Score: -9.15 My Culture War Stance Score: -5.92
Shooting for the lower right corner, eh?
Well, that sure didn’t format worth a darn. The images and line breaks got lost somehow.
WordPress is very picky about what formatting it allows in comments, lest I be overrun with subversive propaganda. Sorry about that.
I took a similar quiz a long, long time ago, and came down almost precisely on the Libertarian spot. I’ll give this one a try later (PC willing) and let you know how it turns out.
It says I’m a left moderate social libertarian, a non-interventionist, and culturally liberal.
Economic issues: +7.5 left
Social issues: +2.94 libertarian
Foreign policy: +5.39 non-interventionist
Cultural identification: +6.28 liberal
Gee, ya think?
Yep, that sounds about right … er, left … er, nvm
