Dana Perino today on Fox News: “Why do we allow him (Iranian Pres. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) to come here anyway? I’m so over him.” This woman was a White House press secretary and she doesn’t know the U.N. is considered international territory? It isn’t “we” who allow Ahmadinejad to come, but the U.N.
The larger question, to me at least, is why does what this nutjob have to say rate so much coverage?
The coverage I saw to today focused not on what he said but on who walked out on his speech. But of course they had to mention what he said to explain show why they walked out. You’re right; better to just ignore him completely, like the other 99% of U.N. speakers.
