On Meet the Press this morning, GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum again condemned Pres. Obama for apologizing to Afghanistan for the accidental burning of some Korans by U.S. troops. He said the president should not have apologized for something that was “clearly inadvertent.” So … people should apologize only for intentional acts? Hmm …

And don’t forget, shame on President Obama for letting gasoline prices get so high! (The last time he opened the strategic oil reserve the price dropped 10 cents.)
Yep, oil prices are all Obama’s fault. The Middle East has nothing to do with it. Nor increased Chinese demand, as was explained on one of the talk shows this morning. And frankly, I don’t think anyone should be opening the strategic oil reserves for anything less than something like a critical war-time shortage.
If he wasn’t running for president, he would be a very funny guy. Have we really dumbed down so much that we think he can run a country? Scary.
Yep, I find it very unnerving that he has any support at all, much less as much as he seems to have.
My significant other and I were laughing about this too.
I record (and watch most of) the three Sunday morning network political shows and heard only one significant comment:

The only other significant thing related to what was not said: There was no mention of the candidates name who is in second place in the delegate count. I had to laugh at that too.
You know by now that the media, for whatever reason, won’t talk about Ron Paul. I really don’t get how they can talk about everyone else, ahead of Paul or well behind, and ignore him as though he were invisible or something.
I’d watch all the Sunday morning poltical shows if I had a way to record them. Some are repeated later, but there are still some conflicts I can’t seem to get around. I usually watch Meet the Press, the one with Candy Crowley, and Fareed Zakaria.

I would find that encouraging if he didn’t have so much support. What’s wrong with people!?
Santorum is not all there in my opinion. I laughed at what totsymae said…’he would be funny if he were not a candidate’ I am a bit frightened by the fact that he has CONTINUED to be one LOL
Yeah, it’s hard to laugh at him when he’s deadly serious AND a presidential candidate. If he ever gets out of the race, though, he could probably get a comedy gig somewhere.

If I inadvertently burned a person’s book, I’d apologize to that person and offer to replace it. If thousands of people who like “that book a whole lot” vowed to kill me for my “transgression,” I’d face the reality that I’m dealing with beings too alien to ever have a productive dialog with – about any subject, on any level. Connect with me in a civilized manner or leave me alone. No book is worth killing over.
We need to get our people the hell out of crazy land and start checking the crazies here at home – like Rick Santorum – before they return America to “the old ways” too!
Absolutely. No one should be dying over an accidentally burned book. Those people are nuts, but it’s their country. Our only responsibility is to get the hell out now, before any more American blood is shed in what was, from Day One, a misguided, hopeless exercise in nation building.
