Er, have a nice day, PT. Here’s a pertinent link to 100 women of history, but one that omits perhaps the most important one of all, mitochondrial Eve.
Wonderful list. I’d be embarrassed to say how many of the names I did not recognize, but at least now I have a source for future reading. Thanks.
Interesting that Mr Jim Wheeler shared a link to 100 women of history. I saw that this International Women’s Day has been around for 100 years. I myself was thinking of posting it too! Love the feel of the pic you chose 😉
I was surprised to learn Women’s Day has been around so long. It’s a lot older than I am, and yet I’ve never really noticed it before. The current “war on women” has probably heightened my awareness.
I did not know it had been around for so long either, I found that out when I googled it this morning.
Wait. Can I celebrate? I’m just a woman and no longer women… thanks to breakthroughs in bi-polar medication.
Ohmygod, we’re so confused.
Sorry, meant I am so confused.

ps GREAT IMAGE 🙂
Any and/or all of you can celebrate! 🙂
I didn’t even realize we had a day! Mother’s Day doesn’t really count since we’re not all mothers so this is music to my ears!
It came as a bit of a surprise to me, too. But I can’t think of a better time, politically, for women to stand together.
Indeed. The bra-burning days don’t hold a candle to what we can do once the tables are turned and we have more women in office. Not that I’m a radical fem but it’s time for a female majority.
