I’ve been browsing news sources for some late updates on the Colorado floods, rescues, clean-up, etc. Nothing really good to report. The rain continues. The rescues continue — although some 17 National Guard helicopters are grounded today because of the low ceiling and lousy visibility. Some reports now say 5 people dead, 1 missing and presumed dead, and more than 1,200 still unaccounted for. More than 1,000 still awaiting rescue in Larimer county alone. Colorado will be a long time recovering from all this.
In the middle of all the news, I came across this on The Denver Post website this afternoon:

Wow!
They do get a lot of wildlife wandering into town, but this is one critter I wouldn’t want to meet.
Wow is right. I guess you have to live in such an area to even think something like that might happen, let alone know what to do when it does! 😯
My brother once encountered a mountain lion when he was out for a walk, but he lives on the far side of a mountain from the main part of Boulder. I’ve never heard of one being right in town.
