A year ago I stumbled across the website of one of Colorado’s great outdoor photographers, Nate Zeman of Breckenridge. I revisited his site a few days ago to see what he’s been up to lately and found this magnificent photo of White Sands National Monument, NM. There’s a lovely companion photo showing how spectacularly white this sand actually is, but this pink took my breath away. I wonder how many people have made that exquisite image their computer wallpaper.
At least one more than yesterday.
Stunning image 🙂
Zeman must have been thrilled. That light wouldn’t have lasted more than a few minutes …
Gorgeous place…I lost a sock there. One sock. Mom was mad. But it was such a huge sandpile!
Thanks for the link ( and what a glorious picture – those little ripples!)
I can only imagine how many small items are buried in those dunes or when, if ever, the wind will uncover them.
