  1. What a delightful way to start the day, this brought a smile to my face which all last all day long (I haven’t had my breakfast or morning cup of tea yet); thanks for the cheer! 🙂

By the bye the the sculpture looks inyeresting 😉

    1. Hard not to laugh, even if you feel sorry for the student. He’ll have a hard time living this down.

“Interesting,” eh? I’m guessing that’s one of the more innocuous adjectives used to describe it.

    1. That date and time are correct for here in the U.S. (in Denver, CO). MDT is Mountain Daylight Time. You are really going to confuse me talking about it being tomorrow already (even though I know you’re in Australia, right?). Don’t cheat me out of the rest of my Monday! 🙂

        1. Oh I do, I do. I do every time some nut says the world is going to end on such-and-such a day, and there you are, calmly drinking your tea and reassuring us that the next day has already dawned, right on schedule.

    1. I know. That photograph is all over the Internet and will be there forever. I haven’t seen his name mentioned anywhere yet, but it will get around. His friends know who he is.

    1. Usually I trip over it while browsing any one of a number of news websites. Start clicking on interesting articles, links, etc., and there’s no telling where you’ll end up or what you’ll find.

  2. Art, like beauty, is said to repose in the eye (brain?) of the beholder. To me, this sculpture is not only not art but an embarrassing waste of time and energy. If someone were actually willing to pay $200,000 for it, that would only prove to me that some people have more money than sense. IMHO.

    1. Yep, it strikes me as a terrible waste of marble. I’d say it’s about $199,999 worth of marble and $1 worth of talent (and that’s probably an over-valuation of the talent). If properly sliced up, it would probably yield some nice countertops …
