This is so cool. (That dates me, doesn’t it?) And I can’t think of a more appropriate place to hear “America the Beautiful” than along iconic Route 66. This is only the fourth singing road in the world. The others are in Japan, Korea, and California.
Is that an old ’48 Pontiac at the 37 sec mark? It’s a Pontiac for sure, the bonnet and mudguards pretty much the same as my old 48 Chevy which I had some 50 odd years back. The Yank Tanks and what beauties they were! 🙂 🙂
I’d guess Pontiac, too, but I’ve no clue about the year. I was only 5 years old in 1948 and wasn’t paying much attention to cars. My first one, shared with a sister, was a ’53 Buick sedan. It was definitely a tank, exactly what my dad intended.
That’s just cool PT! 😀
😆
Well, this certainly tops the world’s largest ball of twine for me!
Absolutely. Definitely worth stopping — er, slowing down — for.
