  2. These folks cannot be for real! I did not graduate from college yet some how even I know this stuff. Now Pluto that is a whole other story. Oh word for the day:(just for fun) “apricate” Have a great day…

    1. It’s been a long time, but I’m pretty sure I learned the basics about stars and planets in grade school. I know my grandchildren did.

      Thanks for expanding my vocabulary. First time I’ve ever heard apricate. That’s what my dog does out on the deck every day. And all this time I thought she was just basking or catching rays.

    1. Oh definitely. Ugly is the nicest thing I can say about those sweaters. They’re bad enough hanging on the rack, but all three women in the scene are wearing them. Ugh!

    1. LOL. Agreed. I hope desperately that Mizrahi isn’t there because those ghastly sweaters are his design. But the alternative is that he’s there as a QVC host. I’m not sure which is worse.

  5. I actually feel sorry for these people. One possibility is that it’s their jobs that have warped their brains, but then you have to consider what jobs are left when the unemployment rate is only 5%. 😉

    I’m thinking that if I had to list the three worst job situations I could think of, off the top of my head of course, they would be (descending with increasing horror):

    1. Demonstrating clothes and costume jewelry all day on QVC.
    2. Being a part-time human sign post for an income-tax company.
    3. Being totally unemployed with nothing to do but watch QVC during the day.

    1. I see you value QVC as highly as I do. 😉 At least the sign people have to have a modicum of talent. Around here, anyway, they are all sign spinners, usually tossing and spinning a big arrow-shaped sign that points into the nearby strip mall (where all the most respected tax preparers work). Some of them are quite good and fun to watch.

      1. Please note, I don’t mean to denigrate the sign people, just the job, and I admire anyone who makes the most of his job. In the human sign business, it’s pure part-time, no medical, no vacation, and not always even a reactive audience. I see them pacing in the cold wind, vainly waving at the warm passengers speeding by.

        1. Duly noted. Yes, I’ve seen them out in some truly horrid weather. It’s a tough way to make a buck, and thankless, so I admire even more the ones who still manage to make a show of it.
