SpaceX releases photos into public domain

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket delivered the ABS 3A and EUTELSAT 115 West B satellites to a supersynchronous transfer orbit, launching from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 10:50pm ET. (Image: SpaceX Photos / flickr)

Sunday, following the example set by NASA, Elon Musk’s SpaceX released more than 100 photographs into the public domain. The photos were originally released under a Creative Commons license, but after receiving a tweet from a fan suggesting they just be put into the public domain, Musk made the change.

The photos can be found on the SpaceX Flickr siteΒ and website.

Enjoy, space fans.
