State Science Fear, Texas-style

    1. When it comes to education, among other things, Texas has a serious image problem. But since they’re a “whole other country,” they probably don’t care. (Most of them anyway. I know some wonderful, intelligent Texans.)

        1. That’s ok. We trash talk Oklahoma around the time the Longhorns and Sooners play. I agree about the education system in Texas though. Some of the members of the Board of Education do not seem qualified. I’m glad my son only has three years left of high school. Little Rock schools are no picnic either. He goes to Central High, which is a good school, but the district is in bad shape.

        2. Hate to say it, but I think public education in general in this country is in the pits. Exceptions everywhere, but in general … my impression is that public education is in a lot of trouble.

... and that's my two cents
