ABC just broke in to my daytime tv with a very welcome news flash. Anthony Scaramucci, that foul-mouthed, cringe-inducing goodfella look-alike sent in from central casting, is out as White House communications director. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving individual. You know he was bad when even Trump & Co. couldn’t endure his verbal vomit. If he’d been in a movie, people would have called it overacting. That he’s a real person and was actually on staff in the White House however briefly makes me queasy. The stench is still detectable, even here in Denver.
Good riddance. No, make that great, wonderful, marvelous riddance.
I’m thinking the new USMC chief of staff is already having an effect.

Actually the British Royal Family cost the tax payers very little, The Queen of course inherited vast properties and the income she receives from all is given to the government, from which they pay her an income, mind boggling it’s true but from which she has to pay for her household. It’s all very complicated.
The amount generated by the English from the tourists that flock there to see / catch a glimpse of the Royal Family is also mind boggling.
Now I don’t know how much it costs the American taxpayer to pay for Air Force One to fly down to Florida every weekend with the occupant of the Oval Office, plus the cost of the security the vehicles the number of security guards to protect the creature, but I’ll wager that one weekends trip to Florida is more than the UK government pays for a years protection of the whole Royal Family. You may have noticed how they walk out quite freely amongst the people

I was just watching the news conference, and the banner read something like “Trump considered Scaramucci’s comments ‘inappropriate’.” Oh reeeeeeally?
I’m guessing Trump is only angry that the remarks became public. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sometimes talks like that himself.
It meant one of my columnists had to do a late tweak on his column for tomorrow, but it was worth it for the happy dance I did and the reaction I got when I called the columnist to tell him what happened. This might be the happiest Monday of my life so far. 😉
