Just my opinion: People hate what they fear and they fear competitive superstitious beliefs… like a different religion. Religion (and everything that goes with it) makes no sense because the belief in any supreme being defies logic and even common sense.
I agree, as you know. It’s all senseless.
Actually, it’s more like see their faces when they realize there is no god. But then they’d be nothing more than worm food.
