Funny enough on its own, but it happened right here in River City — er, greater Denver — on August 17, 2019. It seems an outdoor event had been planned. Something about movies on a giant screen while the audience sat (?) on a field of air mattresses. Movie Night Under the Stars. Everything had been prepared, and then one of our little summer thunderstorms blew through unexpectedly. And the rest is history.

Well, that was impressive. Looks like a couple were trying to get into the pool.
Pool duty sounded cooler.
I have a friend on her way to Colorado for a few days. She’ll be sorry she missed this!
Yes, it could have been the highlight of her trip.
I sent her the video. She’s heading up today. Now she’ll be expecting weirdness. 😉
Darn, and it’s not time for Frozen Dead Guy Days either. But I think that may have been discontinued. In any case, I’m sure she’ll have fun.
Ha! What I wouldn’t give to be frozen right now … 🥶
That makes two of us. I don’t do summer anymore.
Yikes! 😮
Well, they had to migrate sooner or later. 😉
(((HUGS))) 😀
It seems a bit early for fall migration. On the other hand, school has started …
…love that there were people out in the field trying to catch them.
“Sorry I’m late, Mom. I was out chasing mattresses.”
I can’t help but laugh. Not at the failure of it as I’m sure they all worked so hard getting it set up. But just watching the mattresses tumble along.
It’s the best LOL I’ve had for days. But yes, I have thought of the organizers and what they must have felt when this happened.
I saw this and laughed.
It’s just too funny
Good! That was the plan.
