This story was all over the news today, but in case you missed it, here it is again. As John Wick would tell you, never mess with a man’s dog.
It’s amusing that this little pup is named Gunner, but maybe his owner is an Arsenal fan. Or maybe it’s Gunnar, the old Viking name meaning brave and bold warrior. Either way, these two intrepid guys are now buddies for life.
And the gator survived too, lucky that he hadn’t picked on John Wick’s dog.
We’ve been chuckling over this too. You noticed he never hesitated or dropped his cigar.
A dog’s best friend is his devoted Staff!
I love this story. Have watched it many times. Such an adorable little pup, and determined, matter-of-fact owner. (Why is it the big guys always seem to have the littlest dogs?) Makes me glad there are no gators in Colo. Nor bears or mountain lions in my neighborhood, though I’ve been told an occasional coyote comes through.
That was one lucky pup to be rescued.
For sure. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer under water.
Of course it’d be impossible to predict what I’d do if a gator grabbed one of my dogs, but I know I wouldn’t just sit back and watch it happen. Naturally, the size of the gator would also heavily influence my reaction, but I love my dogs so much, I would easily put my life on the line to save my dog.
Me too. And I wouldn’t think twice about it. If she’s hurt or in danger, I’m there, period.
Wonderful video with a happy ending.
I’m kind of addicted to happy endings, especially where pets are concerned.
