This mural, “Crayons,” was painted by Gamma Acosta a day after the Sandy Hook school massacre in 2012. Almost ten years later the shootings continue.
Today it happened again, this time at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Eighteen children — second, third, and fourth graders — died. Will no one act to stop this insanity!? Apparently our elected officials still don’t understand that in America there are too many guns too easily obtained by the wrong people. Nor do they seem to understand or accept that it is their job, their responsibility, to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Maybe when the gunmen come for their kids …
I am shattered.
As am I. It’s incomprehensilble to me that our lawmakers won’t act.
incredibly horrible
I haven’t words for the horror and anger I feel.
The majority of Americans want some kind of gun control, but the majority apparently doesn’t rule anymore.
So it would seem. I guess our lawmakers answer to the NRA, not the majority of their constituents.
I wish I knew what kind of kind of gun control would eliminate, or reduce this kind of madness.
No long guns sold to 18-year-olds. No assault rifles to civilians. Only one gun purchased at a time, after background check and waiting period. Come on, use your imagination.
The gun control objectors don’t deal in logic.
Oh, they do. It’s just a sick logic that allows mass murders to continue.
