Yes, we’ve all now seen some spectacular photos from the James Webb Space Telescope. But what you might not have seen is a more detailed explanation of exactly what you were looking at. Was it enough to be told you’re looking billions of light years into space, and into the past, almost to the beginning of the universe? Say what?
Well, comes the light. Not from the universe but from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. (Not every ABC is American.) Make yourself comfortable and prepare to be awed by their presentation. A few examples:
