Nope, it wasn’t April 1, so that’s not an excuse. Yesterday the hosts of “Fox & Friends,” Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, were complaining about a “hit piece” written by New York Times reporter Jacques Steinberg and editor Steven Reddicliffe.
In the course of their discussion, they showed photos of the two journalists. Nothing unusual about that, right? Except the photos had been digitally altered in less-than-flattering ways. Teeth were yellowed, features exaggerated, hairlines changed, under eyes darkened. Not a word from the Fox guys about the photos being doctored.
So much for truth in journalism. So much for “fair and balanced” news.
