Same to you PT. Awesome image! 😀
Enjoy your fireworks for me. I don’t expect to see or hear any around here today (which is fine with me).
My celebrating was all in front of my TV: First our local Red, White & Boom, then Independence Day (the movie), and then falling asleep during the Breaking Bad marathon … once the noise outside finally died down 🙄
Very nice, PT, and the same to you. Lady Liberty’s image is one that never grows old for me.
She’s a sweetie, isn’t she?
Spectacular!!!
Safe and fire free, PT…Happy 4th!!
Thx! We’ll do our best.
Congratulations on making it through another year… it has been a crazy 236-year journey, from this:

Happy birthday…
And we’d made such a good start too …
Here’s hoping we make it another year. Thanks for coming to the party!
…I was going to go with Snooki or Bristol Palin, but thought that’d be too cruel. Besides, there’s a certain bravado and pioneering spirit behind two guys dressed in jeans a trucker hat and sleeveless shirts in their backyard filming themselves firing off a machine gun until it burns up in their hands that kind of represents the freedoms associated with the Declaration.
…speaking of which, I’m not sure how you feel about obscenity, or South Park, but I think you’ll like this song (from Team America: World Police) — NSFW… but you’ll LOLROFL:

It’s funny if I’m in the right mood. But Americans with the attitude shown in this video, and the yahoos with the machine gun, are a big part of our image problem abroad. Of course, I’m sure they’d have unkind words for me, too. Thanks, at least, for sparing me Snooki or anyone named Palin. They make me gag.
True story: when I was in high school, the father of a friend of mine was an arms broker (my friend eventually took over the (very successful) family business — he makes sure that large groups of people / countries around the world have enough bullets).
The inside of his barn looked like an NRA wet dream. Or Blackwater’s Iraq HQ. It had / has a full shooting range. We must have shot off every gun ever designed… Israeli, Soviet / Russian, American, Chinese, Canadian. When his parents would take off for a seminar, or dinner overseas with a Generalissimo / el Presidente, we’d take the guns out into the field and target shoot, or just stand on an outcrop and shoot into the dirt.
We never shot a gun long enough to set it on fire, but we also never had YouTube. I wouldn’t worry too much about “your” image problem, overseas or across land borders. The yahoo’s spending so much time pointing fingers and laughing at “your” yahoo’s would give up those fingers in a heartbeat to have what your country has… and I’m including the French in there as well.
…if you haven’t seen Team America: World Police, I highly highly highly highly recommend it:

A 4-Highly movie, eh? But then, I’d expect that from the South Park gang. This one slipped by me, as so many do. I get to the theater maybe once a year. I’ll watch for it on TV or pay-per-view.
