The Nostalgia Machine: Pick a year and the site will put up an illustrated list of the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 singles from that year, linked to YouTube videos and ready for you to pick and play. They note helpfully: “For optimum nostalgia pick a childhood year.” But their list only goes back to 1960!
Oh well …
Bummer… But technically speaking, the official Billboard Hot 100 was not officially established until August of 1958 by Billboard Magazine so they only really duped us for a little over a year! 🙂
Oh, well, that would explain why the dates on the site don’t go back any further than they do. Still, it would be so nice if they could come up with listings of some kind back to 1950 or so.
Oh wow PT, this site is so cool! 😀
I thought of you when I found it. I just need it to go back another 7-8 years to include my high school years.
We’ll just have to go with the year of some memorable event. Cool anyway
Yeah, 1960 still gets me back to my senior year in high school. That’s pretty good.
