_________ This map is 6 days old, too. I don’t know how far the oil has spread since then, although I’ve heard oil is now appearing on Alabama beaches. At least everything west of the tip of Louisiana seems to be safe — for now.
I guess you heard today that the first attempt to place the dome over the wellhead failed, and it’s now sitting idly on the ocean floor near the well, pending the resolution of yet another unanticipated technical problem.
