Before anyone else posts this and starts teasing me about the state of education in Oklahoma, my old home state, I’m going to post it myself.
This is the sign on the Sapulpa Public Schools administration building. … sigh … The woman is a local reporter, Caitlin Alexander; the pictures are screenshots from her report. It turns out officials in the building were unaware of the misspelling, even though a neighbor said it has been this way for months.
I had a friend who worked in the hospital there… for about six months. Couldn’t take it.
I’m an Okie too, from around Enid…Hunter & Kremlin.
Oh, cool. I’m from OKC.
As my old buddy Popeye would say: “Embarasskin!”
Reminds me of a situation when I was growing up. An exchange student pointed out that the sign in front of our church had misspelled the name of the church (it said “Westminister” instead of “Westminster”). It had been that way for years! Talk about embarasskin!
Shhh [it’s] cool.
LOL. Hadn’t thought of that way!
