What can I say? My mixed feelings evaporated with that safety in the first 12 seconds of play. From then on, all I could see was blue and green and Seahawks. By the third quarter I was too tired to jump up and down and scream, so I settled for tears of joy. I wish I had a way to teleport my son to Seattle to celebrate. He’s waited so long for this. It’s a cinch he’s going to walk a whole lot taller at work (here in Denver) tomorrow. And for a long time to come.
Congratulations, Seahawks!!

Note: Yes, I know that’s the wrong Seahawks logo at the top, but it was the best I could do on short notice.
What can I say PT? Only that I was hoping for more. With the two best teams playing – the #1 offense vs. the #1 defense and the most highly touted quarterback vs. the most underrated, it really should have been a far more competitive game. But I guess it’s like they always say: offense sells tickets, but defense wins games!
I congratulate Russel Wilson and the entire Seahawks organization. You son has every right to be proud!
I had expected a tight game. But the lopsided win sure felt like vindication for the Hawks, and for my son’s loyalty through all those lean years. I don’t think he’ll complain.
Game certainly was underwhelming. Denver must have taken cues from the Texans…they played that badly.
Really happy for the Seahawks coach! (and we got to see the hawk)
Aw, I missed the hawk. But I saw every minute of the game. I’m sure only Seahawks fans enjoyed the lopsidedness, but we had waited 37 years for it. So no apologies. 😉
I don’t think he flew (who would risk that?) but he was majestic and flapped threateningly a few time. Seahawks are a good team and we followed them this year – great coach – didn’t realize it had been so long. But yea and cheers – well deserved
