Snow. WordPress snow, that is. Some like it, some don’t. I’m on the fence. I think it would be fun on some of my posts. On others, inappropriate and distracting. And since it’s all or nothing, I opt for nothing.
I do wish WordPress would make it possible to turn it on or off for each post. They’ve done some interesting things with it in the past. I remember when you could swirl it back and forth with your cursor. And I think if you were reading a post, you could click and make it stop. The best thing was it would pile up along the bottom of the screen for as long as you were on that page.
But what is WordPress if not ever changing. Shifting sand beneath our feet, er, blogs.
For those of you still wondering about this year’s snow, you can turn it on or off and adjust its speed. On your dashboard go to Settings > General and scroll down to check or uncheck Enable Holiday Snow. Adjust the Snow Speed by selecting a higher or lower number. Lower is faster. Then click Save Changes.
Voila!
Oh, and if you came here thinking you’d read about snow in Denver … no, sorry. There is no snow in Denver. In fact, it’s been in the 60s for about two weeks and was in the high 70s yesterday. This nonsense is supposed to continue at least through this week.
