I’ve always thought of my follow-up remarks to readers’ comments as a sort of acknowledgment of the comments and perhaps a continuation or encouragement of a discussion.
For some reason, it occurred to me today that some people might interpret such replies as an attempt to always have the last word just because I can. That’s certainly never been my intent, but now I’m curious. What do you think? Should the owner of a blog reply to comments or leave that to other readers?
I use to reply to each and every comment. Now, not so much.
Whenever I come back here to see if you wrote back to me (as I think of it) I have never once thought that you were trying to get the last word. You do have the last word, this is your place 🙂
I think if you have the time and want to reply to comments, that’s the nicest thing to do. I’ve just been too busy lately but I do read all of my comments and I love them all.

Thanks for the input. I must have been feeling particularly insecure when I posted this. (If I reply, they might not like me. Oh dear!)
