Hooray! It may only be of local interest, but the man suspected of pouring green paint on Denver’s big blue bear sculpture was arrested yesterday. The man was accused of doing approximately $11,000 damage to the popular landmark. However, the DA later declined to press charges, saying they could not be proven, and the man was released.
Hooray is right PT. I hope they hit him where it hurts most! 😀
I don’t know what the usual penalties are for vandalism, but I imagine he’d remember having to repay the $11,000.
Assuming they’d ever see a nickle of it. These clowns have so many ways of avoiding paying damages, I’d want to make sure something concrete, and publicly embarrassing, hopefully, was tacked on as well!
Maybe some hours of public service cleaning up graffiti, or standing by the bear with a sign saying “I poured paint on this bear and I’m sorry.”
That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout PT!!! 😆
And what did he have to say for himself?
Make him work off the damages by doing storytime for preschoolers at the library once a week for at least a year? Anything else would be too easy.
Heh, see my follow-up story. He’s been released.
