This eye-popping, mind-numbing interactive graphic is from Real Clear Politics and depicts the chaos that has been the race for the GOP 2016 presidential nomination. On the RCP site, the vertical bar with the candidates’ names can be moved back and forth across the chart (from July 23, 2013, to June 14, 2015), illustrating the changing positions of each potential candidate in the polls. It’s kind of fun watching all the colorful names bounce merrily up and down as you move the slider. Reminiscent of popcorn in a popper — at a circus. A lot of work went into this graphic, but one oversight should be noted: It should include a seizure warning.
So this is how rug and wall paper designers come up with their patterns?
Sure looks that way.
