Now that graduation month is upon us…On another topic: thanks for including some of your past posts. I just went to “Or we could just ban recess”. As a former primary teacher, who knows the value of play, I was plenty disturbed about this! Sort of goes under, “What is the world coming to?”
Thank you for having undertaken one of the most important (and often least appreciated) jobs in our society! There is nothing more important than the education of our children!
SECOND THAT!
Do you think that education must be formalized?
I used to think yes, definitely. But we’ve made such a hash of our educational system, I’m not so sure anymore. Plus, I’ve seen plenty of very successful people without a sheepskin. But a decent, comprehensive education, yes. The world has become a very complicated place and it takes a good education to understand it.
