If you can’t get to the Weather Channel video, the answer is butterflies. It’s a huge cloud (70 miles across) of migrating painted lady butterflies. Here’s the Weather Channel video with some added footage:
Oh I think so too! I was a little disappointed that they weren’t monarchs, since we’re losing our monarch population, but it was amazing to see. I’ve no flowers to attract them to my yard, but saw them all over other patches of blossoms. It was like the flowers had come alive.
