I was replying to a comment earlier, and was questioning the reason Jan1 is new years day; why not 21st March NYE 22nd March NYD?
Last day of winter first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, so it makes more sense, And that’s the way it used to be, I think; and if I don’t then I should,

I’d never really thought about it before, but it makes sense. First day of spring sounds good to me.
