
New today on the Pied Type webcam page: a live streaming webcam overlooking Denver’s 1.25-mile-long 16th Street Mall. (The granite tile pattern was designed to look like diamondback rattlesnake skin.) The camera offers several views of the mall. Not seen here are the free shuttles that travel the length of the mall.

I’m surprised to see so much activity so late at night. But I very rarely go into downtown Denver. I’m strictly a suburbanite.

Given the constant drumbeat of bad news, I must admit I was surprised to see so many people on the street late last night. I halfway expected to see a mugging, shooting, or police chase in progress.
