The world of rock ‘n’ roll lost one of its greatest today. Tina Turner was, in my book, the best. Better than all the rest. I was a senior in high school when she released her first hit, “A Fool in Love,” with her husband. And from there her career soared. What a fierce performer! And such great, great songs: “River Deep, Mountain High,” “Private Dancer,” “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” “Addicted to Love,” “Rollin’ on the River,” “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Proud Mary,” and so many more.

Tina Turner died 😢
It’s a great loss. I always think of her in Beyond Thunderdome; she simply was the best.
Without a doubt.
River Deep, Mountain High was, imnsho, the best pop song ever written and recorded; and she made it so.
Whenever she performed it, it sucked me in and I rode the high with her. This was in 1996:
Gonna look for some more.
Yup, simply the best.
She’ll never be forgotten.
