Just another dog story

  1. Lovelyt story, Colorado ! You have ‘pitties’, we have ‘staffies’ (staffordshire terriers), and I love them both dearly; I love their big wide foreheads and their solid little bodies; I love their happy faces. I detest and loathe the people who have caused either breed to become known as dangerous. And I’m not a dog person ! (How’s Charley ? – and Rowdy, of course !)

    1. Yep. It was this pup’s great big smile that got me. Communities in Colo are gradually dropping their unfair bans of these breeds/types, but progress is slow. Charley and Rowdy are great and appreciate your asking about them!

    1. Hiya. This is the standard WordPress.com Resonar theme. I tried it briefly before the last one I was using and decided to take another run at it, this time with a dark background. It has some options I haven’t figure out yet, but crossing my fingers. I’m not smart enough with blocks to have made it myself. Anyway, thank you. High praise coming from the master. Rowdy is my cat. He appears several times elsewhere on this blog.

      1. I didn’t know you had a kitty cat. Our cat was with us for two decades…and it hurt so damn much we she went I just can’t get another. ….You know blocks and Gutenberg where developed to make third party page makers unnecessary, but in fact Gutenberg created a monster called Eliminator. But I wonder if the real story will ever come to light. I have serious concerns about the WordPress theme market. I’ll post about this one day. Say hi to Charles and Roddy. …peace

      2. Yep, I’ve always had a cat and a dog (except for a couple of years in no-dogs apartments). I went a year without a dog after I lost Annie because it hurt so much, but the vacillation stopped as soon as I saw Charlie’s picture, and I haven’t regretted it for a moment. Not that I don’t still worry about outliving him, or him outliving me. (In fact, this is his “homecoming” day; I brought him home one year ago today.)

I’ve heard of Gutenberg, of course, but not Eliminator. WordPress’s constant “improvements” left me floundering some years back. Once upon a time I felt I knew what I was doing …

Go ahead, you can say it ...
