There is some mechanism for adding more justices to SCOTUS (I don’t know the details.) It was mentioned as a way for Dems to counterbalance all the conservative justices that Trump appointed.

Since most of Trump’s nominees are scandalously ill-qualified, I think they all should go, including their scandalously ill-qualified leader. It keeps getting worse. Last week Colorado’s very sensible, low-key Democratic Governor Polis announced he heartily supported RFK Jr.’s nomination!! I voted for Polis! I’m shocked and angry! And then to keep Wormbrain company, Trump appointed Quack Dr. Mehmet Oz. We are going to be “governed” by a cadre of the mentally incompetent and morally unfit.
