Earth Day is important, you know. My amphibian cousins and I will be among the first to disappear if you humans don’t clean up your act and protect our planet. So do your part, okay? Thanks for listening … ribbit … and have a splendiferous day!
The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.

excellent and scary truth. I love the sun shower
I’d pay good money to have a spot ike that in my life every day.
I think the planet will be just fine . . . once we’re gone.
Oh I absolutely agree, although we may have reduced it to a bare rock before we’re gone.
I remember a time when roads, streets and malls were littered with cigarette butts and trash, when rivers and lakes were so polluted, they caught fire. Thankfully, distant memories. Anything is possible, especially if we the people can get our priorities straight, such as cleaning up the oceans before thinking about terraforming Mars.
Unfortunately, leaving the planet seems to be much more enticing than staying here and cleaning it up.
johnthecook…Until we here on planet EARTH learn how to clean up the mess we have created right here and fix it, it makes no sense to run away from our problems here thinking we will do better some place ese. That line of thinking is no more than self-deception Stupid is as stupid does.
Yes, but there’s no glory, no money, no fame in playing trash man here on Earth. Far more exciting and notable to be the first settler on the moon or Mars (and the first to start trashing that location).
johnthecook…THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. We do agree on some things, and this is one of them. Stay safe and please continue to do what you do. I enjoy your blog!
Thank you John, that’s really nice to hear. You stay well too.
The power of compound efforts, right?
Absolutely! Imagine what could be accomplished if everybody did just a little bit each day …
