There was a disappointing report on local news late yesterday. It seems FBI Director Kash Patel has canceled his scheduled appearance in Denver this weekend. He was to address the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police) conference on Sunday.
Coincidentally, Denver’s No Kings Day march will also be this weekend. Streets will be blocked off, etc. You don’t suppose he’s afraid of the No Kings marchers, do you? Nah, not the director of the FBI. Not with all those police chiefs in the area. And yet he’s decided not to come.
Rats. We coulda had a real live Washington bigwig here for the march. He might even have encountered some marchers, some everyday citizens. He could have chatted with them personally, face to face, about the government shutdown and those awful crime situations in Portland, Chicago, and Memphis.
Doggone it. So disappointing …
