This was labeled as a powwow, not a rain dance specifically, so it may just be a celebratory gathering of some kind. But whatever its purpose, I found it a beautiful confluence of cultures. Had it been a rain dance it would have been even better. Mother nature would surely recognize a combined Native American/US Marine entreaty.
I submit that all human cultures extol warriors. It’s our tribal nature.
