A drone show marks the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. The Twin Towers are recreated full scale by 2,977 drones, one for each victim of the attack.

Organizers said the aerial display was shaped by a collective of voices that included Brenda Berkman, an FDNY first responder and artist; Tim Brown, an FDNY first responder in 1993 and 2001; Terry Strada, president of 9/11 Families United and the widow of Tom Strada; Jim Smith, whose wife, NYPD Officer Moira Smith, was killed in the attacks; and Genevieve Siller, daughter of Stephen Siller.

It would have been very moving for everyone …
That ground-based upward beam must mean that no-one can work at night in high nearby offices …?
Once a year, on 9/11, twin beams of light called the Tribute in Light are projected upward from near the World Trade Center site. I’m not sure if that’s what’s seen here, or if this is something done just for the drone show rehearsal.
this is such a beautiful tribute
I thought nothing could top the Tribute in Light. But this is breathtaking.
