Twitter grew up when I wasn’t looking

When it comes to social media, I’m happily illiterate and oblivious. I only just noticed that people who follow Pied Type on Twitter can click on “View media” and get a nice preview — including an image — of my posts. Certainly a lot more than just the posts’ headlines (limited to 140 characters), which is all I thought followers were getting. Cool! (Yes, I still say “cool.”) … Comments »

Twitter caves on censorship overseas

Twitter has announced it will self-censor itself in foreign countries to satisfy the laws of those nations. Or, as Bloomberg, reports it, Twitter “gave itself extra flexibility to censor…” The New York Times calls it micro-censorship.
