Today is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day! Who knew? It seems every day is national something-or-other day. Or several somethings. But bubble wrap is a special, tangible something. A superb packing material that rarely gets reused because it’s so much fun to pop. I’m at a loss to explain the psychology or physiology, but I can’t let it go unpopped. It’s a compulsion, like an itch I have to scratch, and soooo satisfying. My poor dog hates it, though. One pop of even the tiniest bubble and she runs from the room. She always edges toward the door when I open a package, for fear I’ll find and start popping some bubble wrap. Maybe I’ll just let her outside later and pop that roll of wrap I have left from Christmas … … Comments »
