I understand that what I don’t understand is the punchline of the cartoon. It’s meaningless to me
The finals of the National Basketball Association are in progress (best 4 of 7 games wins). The Golden State Warriors are playing the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the cartoon, AP is predicting Golden State will score enough to win the championship. Right now the Warriors are leading the series 3-1. (And it was only 2-1 before tonight.)
If super delegates were all like Donald Trump, to whom a promise is like a leaf in the wind, then the prediction would be a calamity. That’s not true yet, but I somehow feel we’re headed in that direction.
