I saw this on the local news this evening and although the little boy is adorable, my props go to the dog who knows how to keep the game going.

A Golden Retriever would be a better president than a Rottweiler.
Absolutely!
johnthecook… I also saw this on our local news in Phoenix,AZ. It is great!
I’ll admit to being biased about he dog. The story here said he’s a lab/golden mix, and that’s what I’ve got. But I doubt my Annie would do this.
Isn’t that just beautiful
Yep. Sure is.
Labs and balls go hand in hand. Or mouth to hand. I’ve never seen a Labrador not take an interest in a ball.
Annie will go look for a ball and bring it to me, just to get me to play. She hasn’t always been great about bringing back, however. Depends on how much she wants to play. (But they are retrievers, after all.)
Molly Malamute has absolutely no interest in fetching balls. We try and throw, but she races by without giving it a glance. The only time she’ll try to get a ball is when another dog understands the game and is determined to grab it. Otherwise, nah.
Annie didn’t realize how much fun fetch could be until she figured out she’d occasionally get a treat if she brought the ball back.
