I just learned this morning that one of my old favorites, Canadian singer/songwriter Gordon Lightfoot, died yesterday in Toronto. He was 84. “Sundown,” “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “If You Could Read My Mind,” and “Early Morning Rain” were, to me, some of the best music around in the early ’70s.

That’s sad. I always liked his music.
I thought he had some great songs.
Very sad loss
WaPo had a lengthy story about him. I never knew more than just his memorable name.
We’re losing our greats .. we’ve reached that stage. Sighh ..
It makes me painfully aware of my own age.
Liked his work a lot. Sundown a stable. “Read My Mind,” crossover gold. Oh and thanks for all your effort in inline posting your “BOSS CAT” photo yesterday.
It was easy listening, always welcome.
