Yesterday England’s Daily Mail published an exclusive survey of 1000 likely voters asking them what one word would describe what they think Donald Trump and Joe Biden each want from a second term. Or, per the headline: “Voters describe their 2024 choice between a Trump second term and a Biden second term as a choice between REVENGE or NOTHING in Daily Mail poll.” The survey was conducted by JL Partners, a polling firm.
A number of sources reported that Trump had immediately posted his word cloud on his Truth Social platform. I didn’t happen to see a source noting the survey had also included a word cloud for Biden, so I dug it up and posted it here. Fair’s fair, after all, and there are two sides to the story.

To be honest, what little I saw about it had given me the impression the Trump word cloud was what his supporters expected or hoped for and that was probably why he published it. I found that a bit unnerving — no, make that very unnerving — to think his many supporters were expecting/wanting that from him. So I decided to see for myself what the original source had actually said, and I’m glad I did.
FYI, Wikipedia describes the Daily Mail as a British daily middle-market tabloid newspaper founded in 1896, and news website published in London.
That’s all. Just putting it out there for anyone as misinformed as I was.

Bit unsure, here, Colorado .. You thought initially that the clouds were what the supporters wanted from the candidates; then after reading The (ugh !) Daily Mail you decided that they are the messages the supporters are getting from the candidates ..?
Foist, that rag isn’t middle-market, but low-market.
Second, dunno which is worse !!!
Initially I didn’t know there was a Biden cloud. I thought that the Trump cloud was what his supporters said they want/expect/hope to get from him. After reading the article (which I hated to do since Daily Mail is not real journalism, IMHO) I realized there are two clouds showing what random voters are expecting to get from the two candidates. Less alarming than what I originally thought.
(Does that clarify or just further confuse?)
On second thought, read the article yourself and then tell me what you think.
couldn’t be any clearer. terrifying.
I guess I’m not the only one worrying about what Trump will do if reelected, nor the only one expecting nothing much from Biden.
